The Texas Tech alum was signed by the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He has appeared in 66 games during his six-year career.

Davis has played mostly on special teams throughout his career but started five games at safety over the last two seasons. He produced 36 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions over the last two years.

The 28-year-old safety has logged a lot of snaps on special teams. In 2016, Davis played on 84 percent of the Rams' special teams snaps. He led the team with 403 special teams snaps in 2015.

Davis missed nine games last season due to a thigh injury. He finished the season on injured reserve.

Davis - along with the reported additions of Don Carey and Niles Paul - will strengthen the Jaguars' special teams unit. The 6-foot-1, 203-pound defensive back's ability to play safety also gives the team depth in the secondary.
