JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Power in a portion of Riverside has been restored after an electrical fire broke out at the Florida Times-Union. It caused a power outage and affected the Skyway Express and the Prime Osborn Convention Center, according to the JEA spokesperson, Gerri Boyce.
JFRD responded to a call about the fire Thursday morning. Employees evacuated the building and it was quickly put out. JFRD remained on the scene to remove smoke.
Due to the power outage, JTA said the Skyway was out of service. Buses provided service between stations.
The Prime Osborne Convention Center was also affected. It is where the Southern Women's Show is happening this weekend.
