A woman has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after hitting her husband with her car on Wednesday.
The St. John's County Sheriff's Office (SJCSO) responded to Whispering Woods Lane in St. Augustine around 7:30 p.m. in reference to a physical altercation. When they got there, they say they met the victim and Chantale Lenaye Lindo waiting in the garage.
SJCSO says the victim immediately stated "she hit me with the car," and Lindo responded stating, "Yeah I hit him with the car and I wish I hit him harder!"
The victim told police that he was just trying to drop off some of Lindo's items that were inside the car. He says that when he was retrieving the items she put the vehicle in reverse.
He says that he jumped back, and tried to walk away on the sidewalk when Lindo started driving the blue Nissan Altima towards him.
The police report states that she hit him and he fell to the ground hitting his head.
Lindo was taken into custody on scene.
