ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- About a thousand people greeted Sarah Palin outside Books-A-Million, as she rolled into the parking lot in her tour bus.

Sarah Palin is doing a book signing tour for her book, "Going Rogue."

During her two-hour visit to Orange Park, Palin signed about 600 copies of her book.  The first book she signed was Gayle Albritton's copy.

Unlike the hundreds of people behind her in line, Albritton didn't have to wait in line on Monday for a wristband to ensure her spot.  She won her spot in a drawing.  She entered the contest when she pre-ordered Palin's book.

"I've never won anything.  I'm happy it was this," said Albritton.

Albritton says her conversation with Sarah Palin was short, since security was trying to keep the line moving.

Twelve-year-old Sara Arteaga also had her copy of "Going Rogue" signed by Sarah Palin.

"Oh it felt awesome. I felt like I just won a million dollars," said Arteaga.

Arteaga and her brother took yesterday and today off school to meet Palin.  Their father said it was a decision Palin agreed with.

"She was happy that I had my children with me.  That is was important for they be involved," said their father, Robert Arteaga.

School or no school, Sara Arteaga says she was just happy to tell Palin what she's always wanted to tell her.

"I told her she was my idol," she said.
