JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Plentiful sunshine is expected for the remainder of our weekend and into Monday, but the sweaters will be needed, it'll be awfully cold for NE Florida and SE Georgia standards!
SUNDAY: A windy, chilly, sweater weather type of day! The shower activity should be tapers prior to sunrise with clearing conditions expected throughout the day. Plenty of sun, but winds will be noticeable out of the west, 20-30 mph with higher gusts. A Wind Advisory is in place for coastal regions along the First Coast. The temperatures on Sunday will start in the 60s but fall into the 40s by later in the day! There will be a wind chill, grab the sweaters.
TONIGHT: The cold air continues to blast in, temperatures drop near 30 degrees through the night. Visibility will be excellent however for the Super Full Blood Wolf Lunar Eclipse, I know that's a mouthful, just know the moon will be shining bright, with a red tint to it. Best viewing will be after 10pm!
MONDAY: For Martin Luther King Jr. Day we'll enjoy sunshine for sure, but waking up in the morning temperatures will be near 30 degrees. Wind chills for the majority of the morning in the upper 20s and 30s! Highs only recover to the lower 50s.
Tuesday thru Thursday: Temperatures will be rebounding yet again this week, ahead of our next rain maker which should arrive sometime around Thursday.
