JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Our soggy pattern remains locked in place with Bermuda high pressure to our east pumping in the moisture. Timing is everything and some of us will wake up with a few rain showers especially south and west of Jacksonville. Rain becomes more widespread by late morning into this afternoon which should help stabilize things for a drier evening to get outside and catch up on cutting the lawn or getting some exercise in! Highs today only in the lower 80s.
Tuesday high pressure noses in keeping the rain zone a little farther west. This keeps us drier with only hit and miss showers. The best chance of widespread rain stays well west of Jacksonville and I do think we can get those soccer games in during the evening. Highs in the lower to middle 80s.
Keep an eye on the forecast as we head into Memorial Day weekend. Our soggy tropical train of moisture returns. There may be a tropical low pressure forming but at this time the main weather story will continue to be heavy rain back in the forecast. Just keep checking back and we will keep you updated.
