JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Crashes over the weekend in Putnam and Flagler Counties have claimed the lives of two people and seriously injured several others.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the first crash happened Saturday in Flagler County and involved seven vehicles and a bull that had made its way onto I-95.

Troopers say the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. at mile marker 280 when a BMW struck the bull. This led to a domino effect involving six other vehicles.

The driver who struck the bull, Georgia Del Mastro, 68, died at the scene, according to FHP

The second crash took place in Putnam County on Sunday night around 10:45 p.m. on State Road 100 and Tram Road. Troopers say a Ford Mustang collided into a tree with three people inside.

Mildred Bastian, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
