ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A crash in St. Johns County caused heavy congestion on Interstate 95 in both directions about one mile south of County Road 210 Tuesday afternoon.
The Florida Department of Transportation reported the crash on I-95 south near MM 328 around 1:30 p.m., classifying it as a major crash.
Traffic cameras showed one lane of I-95 southbound open while all lanes of I-95 northbound were open. However, the northbound lanes were experiencing slow-moving traffic near the crash.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office tweeted that the incident involved police activity from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and that the Florida Highway Patrol was also on scene.
