ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A St. Augustine man is in critical condition after he was hit by an SUV early Sunday morning.
At about 5:05 a.m., a Nissan SUV was heading north on US when it hit a pedestrian crossing the street just south of Bartola Genovar Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian, identified as a 32-year-old St. Augustine man, was taken by air ambulance to the hospital, the FHP said. He is in critical condition.
The driver of the SUV was not injured in the crash.
