The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to two serious crashes on Monday morning.

Crews are responding to a crash on I-295 northbound between New Kings Road and the Trout River Bridge. All lanes are blocked by the crash that involves two semis and one vehicle.

JFRD says multiple people have been transported from the scene and that they are leaving the scene.

According to first responders, another car crash in the 1500 block of Haines street caused a car to catch on fire and power lines to collapse.

A JEA Spokesperson said a car hit a power pole this morning and that in-turn dama10-inch water main line. The utility pole has been replaced and all impacted customers have electricity.

Crews say that water line repairs will take several more hours and that four industrial customers do not have water because of the break.

The right lane of MLK will remain closed near Haines Street because of crews conducting repairs.
