A car struck a light pole Monday night in Southside, causing the pole to fall on the car and sending one patient to a hospital according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
The incident occurred on Gate Parkway at Southside Boulevard, JFRD said.
A patient was soon extricated and rushed to a hospital. Their condition remains unknown.
A Special Operations Team was called to the scene, JFRD said.
