St. Augustine woman killed in fatal crash involving two small children on US-1

One of the children was just months old, and the other was about a year.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A St. Augustine woman has died after a traffic crash involving two small children on US-1 Tuesday evening.

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol say that Nancy Dunn, 78, was attempting to make a left turn onto US-1 from Datil Pepper Road when her car entered the path of a Mitsubishi Murano.

Dunn's car collided with the driver's side of the Mitsubishi, which had two small children inside. One of the children is just months old, and the other is about a year.

The children and the driver of the vehicle were transported to Flagler Hospital with minor injuries. Dunn died as a result of the crash.

Police advised drivers that US-1 NB from 206 was shut down completely but lanes have since reopened.
