A pedestrian is dead after being struck by two vehicles in Middleburg early Friday morning, which caused major delays to schools along County Road 218.
FHP was dispatched to the area of CR-218 and Country Estates Road around 5:30 a.m. in reference to this accident.
Roads were blocked from Mallard Road to Carter Spencer Road until 10:45 a.m., the Clay County Sheriff's tweeted.
The road closures affected schools like Wilkinson Junior High School, Wilkinson Elementary School and Clay Hill Elementary.
