JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — At least one person is dead after a vehicle that was reported stolen crash while exiting Interstate-95 Monday in Jacksonville's Urban Core area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened at around 6:45 p.m. on Eighth Steet at the I-95 South exit ramp at around 6:45 p.m. JSO said the driver was attempting to exit but ran off the interstate and onto the shoulder of I-95. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger inside the vehicle was ejected but JSO did not give information regarding that person's injuries.
JSO said the car the duo had been traveling in was stolen within the last 24 hours.
