A 75-year-old Jacksonville man has died after the semi-truck he was driving overturned in Nassau County Tuesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP says Michael Haworth was driving westbound on County Road 119 (Otis Road) approaching US-301 when he failed to observe the stop sign at the intersection.

As a result, Haworth veered to the right and overturned onto the semi-truck's left side. The truck slid across the southbound lanes of US-301.

The roof of the truck, as well as the top of the truck's trailer, collided with the guard rail in the process.

FHP said Haworth died on the scene, according to the report.
