Source: Jaguars release veteran wide receiver Jaelen Strong

Strong played in one game last season for the Jaguars.

The Jaguars released veteran wide receiver Jaelen Strong on Monday, a league source told First Coast News.

Strong played in one game last season for the Jaguars. He produced three catches for 38 yards and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 before tearing his ACL later in the game.

Strong was claimed off waivers by the Jaguars in Week 3 last season. He spent time on the active roster and practice squad during his one-year tenure in Jacksonville.

Prior to his Jaguars stint, Strong played in 19 games during parts of three seasons for the Houston Texans. The Arizona State product was selected in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He has produced 31 catches for 330 receiving yards and four touchdowns during his career.
