JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jaguars have re-signed guard Tyler Shatley.

The team announced the move on Tuesday. The re-signing is the fifth in the last two weeks for the Jaguars.

“Tyler is an example of a player who has grown over the past three seasons due to his incredible work ethic,” said Jaguars General Manager Dave Caldwell. “He has worked tirelessly to assist the offensive line unit in any role that is asked of him. In addition to showing impressive flexibility along the line, he performed admirably when he started four games in 2016. He embodies the ‘next man up’ approach and we will continue to benefit from his selfless approach on and off the field for years to come.”

Shatley has served as a key interior reserve over the last three seasons. He joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson in 2014. He has played in 30 games (four starts) during his career.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue my career in Jacksonville,” said Shatley. “I want to thank Shad Khan and Dave Caldwell for believing in me and giving me a spot on the roster during my rookie season, and the commitment they have showed to this day. I look forward to continuing to learn from Coach Marrone, Coach Flaherty and Coach Sparano, and expect to help the offensive line take another step forward in 2017.”

He was set to become a restricted free agent on March 9.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
