UPDATE [11:52 p.m.]: The Jaguars selected defensive tackle Taven Bryan with the 29th overall pick in the draft. He is expected to be part of the Jaguars' defensive tackle rotation this season. A developing talent, Bryan will look to crack the lineup as a three-technique.

To end the first round, the Minnesota Vikings selected Central Florida cornerback Mike Hughes with the 30th overall pick. The New England Patriots selected Georgia running back Sony Michel with the 31st pick. The Philadelphia Eagles traded out of the first round, sending the 32nd overall pick to the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore selected Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson with the final pick in the first round.

UPDATE [11:14 p.m.]: The Steelers selected Virginia Tech safety Terrell Edmunds with the 28th overall pick.

UPDATE [11:06 p.m.]: The Seattle Seahawks went with a running back at No. 27. Seattle selected San Diego State running back Rashaad Penny with their first-round pick.

UPDATE [11 p.m.]: The Baltimore Ravens selected a Jacksonville native with the 25th overall pick. South Carolina tight end Hayden Hurst (Bolles School) was selected by the Ravens. He projects to start for the Ravens immediately at tight end.

The Atlanta Falcons then drafted a tag team partner for wide receiver Julio Jones. With the 26th overall pick, the Falcons selected Alabama wide receiver Calvin Ridley.

UPDATE [10:46 p.m.] The first wide receiver off the board was selected by the Carolina Panthers. Carolina selected Maryland wide receiver D.J. Moore with the 24th overall pick. Moore will now be mentored by fellow former Maryland wide receiver Torrey Smith in Carolina.

UPDATE [10:39 p.m.]: The New England Patriots took the second Georgia Bulldog of the night with the 23rd overall pick. The Patriots selected offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn, who is likely to play either left tackle or left guard for New England.

UPDATE [10:31 p.m.]: The Tennessee Titans picked up their new middle linebacker with the 22nd overall pick in the draft. Tennessee nabbed Alabama linebacker Rashaan Evans through a trade up with the Baltimore Ravens.

UPDATE [10:23 p.m.]: The Detroit Lions made the first center pick of the draft. With the 20th overall selection, the Lions took Arkansas center Frank Ragnow. Could we see a run on interior offensive linemen?

The Cincinnati Bengals selected Ohio State center Billy Price with the 21st overall pick. Price suffered a pectoral injury during the NFL Combine but he should be ready for training camp.

UPDATE [10:14 p.m.]: The Dallas Cowboys selected Boise State linebacker Leighton Vander Esch with the 19th overall pick. He will likely play middle linebacker in Dallas, moving veteran Sean Lee to the weak side. Vander Esch's instincts are very impressive on tape and he is very good at getting off blocks.

In a side-note trade, the Oakland Raiders dealt the 79th overall pick [third round] to the Pittsburgh Steelers for wide receiver Martavius Bryant. The Steelers now have an extra pick in their pursuit of picking up ground on the Jaguars.

UPDATE [10:04 p.m.]: The Green Bay Packers just traded up to the No. 18 overall pick. The Seahawks picked up a third-round pick in the deal that moved the Packers up 10 spots. Green Bay picked up Louisville cornerback Jaire Alexander with the 18th pick. Alexander is a versatile corner with the ability to play all over the secondary. He is among the best nickel prospects in the draft.

UPDATE [9:57 p.m.]: Gus Bradley has his new Jalen Ramsey-like defensive back. After sliding quite a bit off original projections, FSU safety Derwin James was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers. He will likely play the free safety role in Bradley's defense.

UPDATE [9:53 p.m.]: The Oakland Raiders took UCLA offensive tackle Kolton Miller with the 15th overall pick. Miller will likely serve as a developmental swing tackle as a rookie.

The Buffalo Bills then traded up to the 16th overall from the 22nd overall pick. Buffalo then selected talented Virginia Tech linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. The young linebacker will likely play the strong-side for Buffalo. He can also pass rush on third down.

UPDATE [9:38 p.m.]: The New Orleans Saints traded up from No. 27 to No. 14. The Saints dealt their No. 27 pick and a fifth-round pick this year and a first-round pick next year to the Green Bay Packers. New Orleans then drafted talented pass rusher Marcus Davenport with their new pick. The University of Texas-San Antonio defensive lineman has been praised for his high athletic upside.

UPDATE [9:32 p.m.]: The Washington Redskins traded back and drafted Alabama defensive tackle Da'Ron Payne. He will now be a "payne" in the butt for the NFC East.

UPDATE [9:25 p.m.]: The Miami Dolphins used the 11th overall pick on Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick. The rookie and Rashad Jones will team to form a dynamic duo at safety.

After trading back with the Bills, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Washington defensive tackle Vita Vea with the 12th overall selection. Vea will join Beau Allen, Jason Pierre-Paul and Vinny Curry as big offseason additions on the defensive line.

UPDATE [9:09 p.m.]: The San Francisco 49ers selected Notre Dame offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey with the ninth overall pick. Nelson and McGlinchey are the eighth pair of offensive linemen since 1967 to have been selected in the first 20 picks of the first round of the same NFL Draft.

The Arizona Cardinals traded their first, third and fifth round picks to move up from No. 15 to No. 10. The Cardinals selected talented-yet-polarizing UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen with the pick. Rosen is considered the most NFL-ready passer of the bunch. He will be a solid fit in a West Coast offense.

UPDATE [9:02 p.m.]: The Chicago Bears drafted a Georgia Bulldog with the eight overall pick. Chicago selected linebacker Roquan Smith with their top pick on Thursday. Smith has exceptional instincts and is one of the best tackling linebackers in the class. He will now anchor the Bears' defense under a new regime.

UPDATE [8:53 p.m.]: We finally have a trade!!! The Buffalo Bills were able to hold onto their second first round pick and move up five spots with their top pick by dealing two second-round picks to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the seventh overall selection. The Buccaneers received the 12th, 53rd and 56th overall picks in the trade.

The Bills drafted Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen, who has all the tools you look for in a QB. However, he is a work-in-progress, as his accuracy was extremely disappointing at the college level.

UPDATE [8:48 p.m.]: The Indianapolis Colts have decided to invest heavily in their offensive line, drafting Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson with the sixth overall pick. Nelson has drawn praise as a "generational" prospect at guard. Quarterback Andrew Luck finally has some protection up front.

UPDATE [8:44 p.m.]: The Denver Broncos' pass rusher group just got better. Denver selected NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb with the fifth overall pick. Chubb was a Nagurski Trophy winner this past season and he leads an EDGE class with few true superstar prospects.

UPDATE [8:37 p.m.]: Big surprise! The Brown once again go against the consensus, selecting Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward with the fourth overall. He is a talented cover cornerback who can play on the outside and in nickel situations.

UPDATE [8:29 p.m.]: The New York Jets drafted USC quarterback Sam Darnold with the third overall pick. Still just 20 years old, Darnold is a quarterback who will be molded behind veteran Josh McCown. Darnold is the second USC quarterback to be selected by the Jets in the last 10 years (Mark Sanchez, 2009).

UPDATE [8:21 p.m.]: The New York Giants have selected talented Penn State running back Saquan Barkley. The Giants passed on trade offers and quarterbacks to take the dual-threat running back who lit the NFL Combine on fire. Barkley will be the focal point of the Giants' offense on early downs. Barkley and wide receiver Odell Beckham give New York one of the most appealing running back-wide receiver combos in the league.

UPDATE [8:17 p.m.]: The Browns have selected Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield with the first overall pick. Mayfield is a bit undersized (6-0, 215 lbs) but has tons of talent to make up for his lack of stature. An accurate pocket passer, Mayfield also has very quick wheels. He will be the latest in the Browns' line of starting quarterbacks.

UPDATE [8:09 p.m]: The draft has begun!!! The Cleveland Browns are on the clock with the No. 1 pick.
