Two weeks after rookie Ronnie Harrison supplanted him in the starting line-up, veteran safety Barry Church was released.
Two days after Church's release, Harrison is done for the year with a knee injury.
The Jaguars announced Monday that Harrison is being placed on Injured Reserve as Jacksonville (4-10) gets set to travel to Miami (7-7) for their Week 16 match-up.
In 14 games this season, Harrison started eight contests and tallied 32 total tackles. He recorded his first career interception in the Jaguars' December 6 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
In his absence, third-year pro Jarrod Wilson had five tackles in the Jaguars' 16-13 loss to Washington.
