JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Jaguars owner Shad Khan said Friday that he does not want the Super Bowl to come to Jacksonville.

Speaking to reporters after the Jaguars State of the Franchise address, Khan said he felt that Jacksonville could not meet the requirements for hotel rooms and "other structural amenities."

"What it takes to get a Super Bowl, I think, is setting Jacksonville up for failure," he said. "I think time, money, energy, is much better served doing something else."

In addition, Khan said that he thought Tampa and Miami were more suited to hosting the event.

Without getting into details, Khan said that he felt Jacksonville would be better suited to host other NFL events.
