TALLAHASSEE, FL-- You got the feeling at halftime of today's game the Florida Gators were going to do what they have done over the last 5 meetings in this rivalry. Let the game slip away. But a 28 point surge in the second half wiped any thought of that away.
The story of the game was penalties coming from the Florida State side. The Seminoles tallied 10 for 60 yards including one that negated a touchdown from Cam Akers in the first half.
Feleipe Franks managed the game and took advantage of a couple opportunities. Franks threw for 3 touchdowns on the day in the winning effort. The 41-14 win ends a 5 year losing streak to Florida State and likely puts Florida in a New Years 6 Bowl.
