Two people were transported to the hospital after colliding with an Amtrak train Saturday night in Nassau County.

Two people were transported to the hospital after colliding with an Amtrak train Saturday night in Nassau County.

The crash happened near Brandies Avenue in Callahan at 7:55 p.m..

The accident sent the two individuals to the hospital with minor injuries. According to Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper, one of them was trapped and had to be removed from the car.

None of the 340 passengers or crew aboard the train were injured, according to an Amtrak spokesperson.
