Last year nearly half of the residents living in Hubbard House’s emergency shelter were children.

Now, the organization is asking for your help in getting them school supplies.

Hubbard House is a full-service certified domestic violence center providing prevention and intervention to domestic violence survivors and their families in Duval and Baker counties in Northeast Florida.

To meet the back-to-school needs of children being served in its shelter, the Hubbard House is accepting donations of new school supplies from the community.

The children living at the Hubbard House are sons and daughters of victims of domestic violence. In total, 446 children were served through the emergency shelter and Outreach Center just last year.

The school supplies generated during the back-to-school season are used to meet student needs all year.

A list of needed items can be found on the Hubbard House website.
