CLERMONT, Fla. —Two people were killed in a plane crash in Clermont on Saturday morning.
Lake County Fire-Rescue officials said the plane went down in a field between South Lake Hospital and Crestridge Drive about 8:55 a.m.

Clermont's assistant fire chief saidthe two killed were the only people on board the RV8A aircraft.
The FAA said the circumstances of the crash are unknown. The FAA plans to investigate, and the NTSB will determine the cause.
