Hundreds of bottled beers are sorted by style. Visitors can examine an individual display to pull up definitions and characteristics for everything from lagers and pilsners to lambics and stouts, with dozens of classifications explored.

America's bustling, perhaps even over saturated, with craft breweries, tasting rooms and bottle shops. We have brewers guilds, beer festivals, beer apps, competitions and DIY beer making kits. And true beer fans should add museums and exhibits to their bucket lists.

From Milwaukee to Munich, major beer destinations around the world preserve documents, tools and other artifacts to celebrate the history and evolution of beer, which dates back to hunter gatherers, according to the San Diego Museum of Man's Beerology exhibit.

Beyond history, many of these exhibits are interactive or include audio-visual elements, and most importantly, tastings. Belgium's Bruges Beer Experience even has kid-friendly entertainment. Browse the photos above for must-visit beer museums around the world, from a brewpub and museum in Hawaii, to a beer museum and biergarten in Japan.
