A man entered a Burger King on Jacksonville's westside Wednesday evening claiming his backpack contained a bomb.
At 5:30 p.m. JSO was called to the Burger King at 637 Edgewood Avenue N. for a bomb threat.
JSO PRESSER:
Police said an unidentified man entered the restaurant and told management he had a bomb inside his backpack.
Employees and customers were evacuated from the building without incident.
It took thirty minutes to coax the man out of the restaurant, police say, but he eventually came out and surrendered to police voluntarily.
He is currently being questioned by JSO.
