JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting Tuesday afternoon at an apartment complex on the Westside.
At about 1:30 p.m., officers responding to the shooting at Valencia Way Apartment located at 1214 Labelle Street, according to the JSO.
When offices arrived on the scene, residents at the complex told police the family members of the victim to them to the hospital with a gunshot wound in the torso. The victim later died from their injuries, police said.
The JSO Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit are investigating the shooting. There are no suspects at this time.
