JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The video above is from a previous report.
The Shands Boat Ramp, bulkhead and parking areas are back open and ready for business, according to a statement from Clay County.
The Shands Fishing Pier was damaged by Hurricane Matthew in 2016. In the last three months, crews removed the over 300 tons of material that was left behind. The area was closed by county officials while crews worked on the project.
The area is now safe for boaters, according to Clay County.
