RV catches fire, explodes after wreck with semi-truck on I-95 in Yulee

The Florida Highway Patrol says a semi-truck didn't notice the disabled vehicle and crashed into it which resulted in the motorhome becoming fully engulfed in flames

YULEE, Fla. — The Nassau County Sheriff's Office says no injuries were reported after a fiery crash between an RV and semi-truck Wednesday night on Interstate-95 in Yulee.

All lanes are open at Mile Marker 372.

The Nassau County Fire and Rescue Department says the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. when a  motorhome towing a vehicle became disabled blocking the right lane.

The Florida Highway Patrol says a semi-truck didn't notice the disabled vehicle and crashed into it which resulted in the motorhome becoming fully engulfed in flames. Multiple explosions also occurred due to the stored propane tanks on the motorhome, troopers say.

The driver of the semi-truck didn't sustain any injuries and the driver of the motorhome only received non-life threatening injuries.

First Coast News spoke with employees at a nearby gas station who said they heard three loud "explosions," and when they ran outside they saw flames rising from the crash.
