PHOTOS: Boeing 737-800 civilian aircraft skidded into St. Johns River

The civilian aircraft from Miami Air slid off of the runway into the river at about 9:40 p.m. There were no fatalities and 21 people were transported to local hospitals.

A Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 137 passengers and seven crew members skidded off the runway and into the St. Johns River near the NAS Jax airport Friday around 9:40 p.m.

The civilian aircraft from Miami Air slid off of the runway into the river at about 9:40 p.m. There were no fatalities and 21 people were transported to local hospitals.
