The 21-year-old owner of the snake, whose identity hasn’t been released, has an exotic reptile permit to house the snake and more than 20 others, according to authorities. Police said the man likely won't face any charges or have his permit revoked.
Officials with the Needville Independent School District said they kept middle school students inside during recess and advised staff to keep a lookout while the snake was on the loose.
WATCH: Everything you need to know about king cobras
Someone created a parody Twitter account for the snake, @KingCobraFBCTX, and has been posting updates of the snake’s whereabouts—including its trips to Whataburger—and warning users not to sneak up on it, rather call it an Uber and back up.
Two questions: Where is the nearest Whataburger, and has anyone seen a Jigglypuff nearby?

Eventually the snake admitted defeat.
They got me. Y'all can quit panicking. They showed up with Chuck Norris and a flame thrower and I wasn't in a position to argue.
