JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man was sentenced Wednesday for his involvement in a 2014 murder, the State Attorney's Office said in a release.
Lawrence Albert Williams, 39, was sentenced to 45 years in prison for his involvement in the murder of 36-year-old Keith Sterling. Williams was convicted of accessory after the fact in May.
In December 2014, officers found the victim dead on his porch off South Lane Avenue. During the investigation, officers discovered that the shooting suspect's vehicle is often driven by Williams. Williams was questioned several times and provided false information to protect the identity of the shooter, according to the release.
The murder investigation is still ongoing.
