JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman is dead after being found unconscious in a neighbor's pool on Thursday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Around 9:11 a.m. officers responded to the 6800 block of Provost Road North on the Southside in regards to a report of an accidental death. When rescue arrived, they found a woman in a pool unresponsive.
JSO says after speaking with neighbors they learned that there was a gathering of some sort Wednesday night but it's too early to determine if alcohol played a role in the drowning.
At this time, investigators say the incident is being investigated as an accidental death. They do not believe there was any foul play involved.
The woman's identity was not released.
