Two days after escaping a correctional facility, an inmate on the run is once again in police custody on Monday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Micky, Turner, 22, was arrested after a citizen spotted him walking through Florida State College of Jacksonville's South Campus on Beach Boulevard, JSO said.

When police arrived at the scene, Turner fled but JSO K-9 Valor located the suspect.

Turner has been charged with escape, police said.

The arrest was made days after Turner escaped from the Dinsmore Community Correctional Center early Saturday morning.

Police said Turner had cut his ankle monitor off around 2:50 a.m. and officers found it on his dorm room bed disabled.
