Police tell First Coast News that they have located Rachel Knowlton, the formerly missing 20-year-old who was reported missing on Thursday and is said to have the mental capacity of a 6-year-old.
She was reportedly driven out of a heavily wooded ravine near Black Creek on this golf cart Friday morning.
CCSO officials updated details of the search Friday morning at 7 a.m. They said agencies now assisting in the search for Knowlton include U.S. Custom and Boarders, Florida Highway Patrol, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and K-9 units.
Deputies reported Rachel Knowlton missing on Thursday around 2 p.m.. They describe her to be a white female with green eyes, brown hair, about 5-feet-tall and weighs around 185 pounds.
They say she was last seen near Halperns Way at Whitesville Landing Court in Middleburg. She was last seen wearing an unknown color shirt, white shorts, flip flops and had a turquoise purse on her.
Deputies say due to her mental capacity and the possibility of severe weather, they consider Knowlton to be in danger.
Deputies said they are using canines to help search for Knowlton and that they expanded search perimeters around 8 p.m.
Clay deputies ask the public to help search for Knowlton, but to do so while in their cars.
