Finding the latest in beauty trends can be challenging. Often we stick to what we know and hesitate on change. It helps to have a little direction.
We are living in the world of digital and social media. Now more than ever it is influencing our interest in products and what we gravitate towards, especially when we are ready to make a purchase.
The ways of marketing cosmetics has evolved immensely and the beauty industry as a whole, with revenues of over 70+ billion. 70 Billion accounts focus primarily on makeup and skincare and excludes perfumes, hair, tanning - nails.
The beauty industry is built on the product and services that help us look our best. We also might have personal convictions of why we choose certain brands or maybe we grew up with our mothers using a particular brand so we never wavered.
Here are some easy tips to find out what’s trending and what products work:
1. Read online reviews and base them on multiple similar experiences ratings are a good gage
2. Ask for a sample or multiple samples even during online purchases at checkout some department stores offer this option
3. Grow with the brand you select and slow down the bulk buy even if the sales person is really trying
Here are some of my go to’s at the moment :
