Aspen Dental Offers Thousands of Vets Free Dental Care (FCL May 16)

Aspen Dental offices participate in the 6th Annual Healthy Mouth Movement Day of Service

Nearly 150 million Americans didn't go to the dentist last year. Millions more live in places where there is little or no access to care.

Other barriers like cost, lack of insurance, and fear also prohibit regular dental visits. This is especially challenging for many U.S. military veterans, who are not eligible for dental benefits through the Veterans Administration unless they are 100% disabled have a service-related mouth injury or were a prisoner of war.

To serve the men and women who have served our country, the nation’s largest network of branded dental offices, Aspen Dental is working to close the gap for those veterans who have not previously been able to access dental care through its Healthy Mouth Movement.

Dentist Dr. Anita Imadomwanyi  outlines the need for dental care for vets and explains the plan to provide free dental care.
