FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — Dogs brought from the Bahamas to the First Coast in the wake of Hurricane Dorian are now up for adoption, according to the Nassau Humane Society.
The humane society is hosting an event Tuesday at 11 a.m., allowing dog lovers to visit the dogs and possibly give them a forever home.
The event is called Potcake Playgroup Party and will feature 30 dogs rescued from Hurricane Dorian.
Each dog has been quarantined and re-vaccinated, the humane society said.
