The mother of the teen who was shot and killed over loud music at a Southside gas station in 2012 announced that she is running for Congress.
Lucia "Lucy" McBath is the mother of Jordan Davis. Seventeen-year-old Davis was shot and killed at over the holidays in 2012 by Michael Dunn, who is now serving a life sentence for his murder.
According to her website, Davis' death fueled McBath's drive for "community activism and importance of political engagement ... Today, she holds roles as the national spokesperson for Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America."
McBath, who worked for Delta airlines for the past 30 years, announced that she is running for Georgia's 6th Congressional District.
