The Duval County Public Schools voted on Dr. Diana Greene to become the next DCPS Superintendent.

The finalists were between Dr. Michael Dunsmore, Dr. Diana Greene, and Erick Pruitt.

Dr. Diana Greene received her Ph. D from Capella University.

If Greene accepts the offer, she would be coming to the First Coast from Manatee County, Florida where she was the Superintendent for 49,000 students.

She would join Duval County Schools which has around 129,000 students, the 22nd largest school district in the nation.

The search for Duval County's next superintendent has lasted since Dr. Nikolai Vitti accepted Detroit Public School's offer in 2017.
