Leon D'shawn Bennett, the 23-year-old man shot to death in Jax Beach Sunday, was an aspiring rapper, according to his Facebook page. Bennett was found at about 2 a.m. bleeding at 7th Avenue N.
He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries. Police have no suspects.
Bennett was shot by someone in a vehicle near 1st Street and 7th Avenue N, according to Jacksonville Beach police. The vehicle drove off heading west on 7th Avenue N. A witness said Bennett collapsed on a vehicle in front of his girlfriend.
Bennett, who goes by the rap name "Lee Khan," is the second Jacksonville area rapper shot in a drive-by shooting this month. The first one occurred June 5 when rapper Yungeen Ace was the lone survivor of a quadruple-shooting near the St. Johns Town Center.

Bennett also used his Instagram page to promote his music. He also posted pictures of his two children he leaves behind.
