JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A small brush fire broke out on San Pablo Road South Thursday afternoon, closing roads in the area and prompting an emergency response.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department tweeted around 12:15 p.m. that the incident occurred in the 3700 block of San Pablo Road South.
Crews said that accessibility was difficult because they had to pull hoses through the woods to get to the fire. Trucks however found access points on multiple streets surrounding the brush fire where they worked to extinguish it.
The fire was declared under control around 1:30 p.m.
