JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to an apartment fire in a Riverside neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Flames could be seen emanating from the roof of the apartment in the 2700 block of Oak Street.

The fire was quickly put under control at around 4:46 p.m., according to a tweet from JFRD.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was on scene for crowd control as fire crews worked the blaze.

There is no word on the cause of the fire or if any residents were displaced.
