The Florida Revenue Service has released the dates for the upcoming 2019 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday, and they are right around the corner.

Beginning on Friday, May 31, qualifying items related to disaster preparedness will be exempt from sales tax.

Some qualifying items are flashlights, lanterns, ice packs, batteries, radios, generators and tarps.

Tax exemption does not apply to any rentals or repairs along with the sale of any items in theme parks, entertainment complexes or airports.

The tax-free holiday lasts until Thursday, June 6.
