'The death of one of our own': Fort Worth firefighter of 39 years dies after battling coronavirus

Captain Randy Robinson dies Thursday afternoon after a long battle with COVID-19, the Fort Worth Fire Department said.

A Fort Worth firefighter of 39 years has died after battling COVID-19, the department announced on Facebook. 

Capt. Randy Robinson was assigned to Station 35 and died Thursday afternoon. 

The department said funeral arrangements will be announced once they are finalized. 

"His family and loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Captain Robinson will truly be missed by all," the fire department said in its post.
