ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- A large fire at the Badcock Furniture store in Orange Park has left the building at a near total loss, authorities said on Wednesday.

The damages are estimated at $1.3 million, according to the State Fire Marshal Office.

Authorities said that due to the large size of the fire it will take some time to determine the cause, which is not considered suspicious. The investigation remains ongoing.

According to Clay County Fire Rescue, the call for the fire came in at around 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon and firefighters responded in less than 10 minutes. The fire was contained, but not before major losses were done.

More than 100 firefighters responded to what CCFR called a "near 3-alarm fire."

There were no injuries due to the fire though several firefighters had to be treated because of the hot conditions with the weather and the fire combined.

CCFR said they thank nearby businesses for donating water to the firefighters. The state Fire Marshal will be conducting an investigation to find the source of the fire.
