EverBank to be acquired by TIAA

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- EverBank has entered a formal agreement to be acquired by the The Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association in a deal that will be finalized in mid-2017, according to a press release from EverBank.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- EverBank has entered a formal agreement to be acquired by the The Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association in a deal that will be finalized in mid-2017, according to a press release from EverBank.

EverBank is the largest bank based in Florida by deposits and over 1,600 of their 3,700 employees work in Jacksonville. EverBank also holds the naming rights to the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium and occupies one of the largest buildings in downtown.

EverBank assures that for now, nothing will change with the way its customers bank. It makes no mention of moving forward if procedures or rules will change. All EverBank accounts will still be accessible and the same forms of communication can be reached.
