Duval teachers return to schools for planning a week before students arrive

Nearly 100,000 students will return to their school buildings in Duval County Aug. 20.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Teachers in Duval County return to their schools Wednesday to begin planning for the influx of students.

Nearly 100,000 students return to their school buildings next Thursday, Aug. 20.

At Stanton College Preparatory School, teachers wore red to take a lap around the track early Wednesday morning and then got breakfast under tents. They set up signs around the track with inspirational messages.
