The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a triple shooting in Springfield late Sunday night.

Deputies responded to a home on 3200 Pearl St. near the corner of 23rd around at 11:55 p.m. in response to a shooting. Upon their arrival, Officers located three individuals with gunshot wounds.

Two shooting victims were taken to UF Health and have since been released. The third victim, a middle-aged woman, died around 3:00 a.m. from her injuries. 

According to JSO, a group of four people were walking past the home when they engaged in an argument with the residents. Police say that one male in the group started shooting. As shots rang out, residents of the home tried to run back into the house. 

JSO believes the shooter was among a group of two males and two females.
