Authorities responded to several car burglaries on Little Talbot Island after the victims returned from the beach to find their car windows smashed and items stolen.

According to JSO, the six vehicles were burglarized, Friday, between 1:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. while the victims were on the beach.

An officer responded to the call just before 3 p.m. along the 12000 block of Heckscher Drive.

Each vehicle was found with its windows smashed and items stolen.

Shortly after JSO responded to the reports, one of the victims said he received a text message from his bank stating that his credit card had been used at a Harvey’s store in the 5900 block of University Boulevard West and a Wing Place LLC at an unknown location.

Four of the six vehicles were processed by authorities after one vehicle left and inclement weather kept another vehicle from being processed.

Officers have not canvassed the area due to the isolated location of the incident.
